Notes On A Map’s Margin
A Map Of Mankind is something I’ve been working on for about 6 months. When finished it will consist of 7 sections of 500 to 1000 words each. It will start out semi-scholarly and grow increasingly speculative and experimental. I suppose you could still technically call it an essay but at a certain point it abandons all pretense of non-fiction to romp around in a Stapledonian orgy of titan-clashin’ madness. It is an attempt to intertwine and rework the themes of micropiece
and Roberta without 1)The personal aspect and 2)The Heinlein/Rand injokes. Hell, maybe it’s my attempt to attract a wider audience by turning two weird
pieces into something even weirder. That sounds about my speed.
The plan is to post the first four sections once per day. I’ll have to slack off to a slower pace after that because I’m still fiddling with 5-6 and I’m not done with the 7 first draft yet. Honestly, I’m hoping this will provide a kick in the ass to get this out and over with.
Dragging projects out over multiple months is getting really old.

Bravo, George! Looking forward to the rest. Mirrored here.
